None: I feel that when the ship broke in two, the
bombs which were still in the front half of the ship, since we were hit on
the bomb run, blew up on the way down. 2nd. Lt. Hildreth found wreckage in
the area that he felt indicated this.

Any explanation of his fate based in part or wholly on supposition: He was up front
and was either blown to bits or was found and buried by German civilians
who failed to remoys and turn in his identification taga.
